This week has been a particularly challenging one for me. I started the week at a local prep school teaching six 30-40 min classes in the course of a morning, then 2 more classes in the afternoon at different schools. By the time the day ended, I was exhausted and re-thinking my chosen profession. I taught lots of classes of kids who just weren’t responding in a way that made teaching fun for me. Was it me? Was it them? Probably a bit of both. Mid week, I had to leave super early to get to the Bronx where I’ve been teaching at a school where my friend is the Assistant Principal. Sharing the LOVE – Through Peace, Joy & Kid’s Yoga Teacher Trainings~
Back in 2006 while I was still living in San Francisco, I had many people ask me if I could train them to teach yoga to kids. Surprisingly, there was not too many of us doing this work yet. So my friend Rosey and I decided to create our own 8 hour Kids Yoga Teacher Training. Fast forward to 2015, my Full of Joy Yoga Kids Yoga teacher training is now 20 hours with the hopes to increase it to 25 hours in the near future. It has been one of the biggest joys of my biz. I have trained hundreds of people from CA to CT – think of all the kiddos who get to benefit from all of these kids yoga teachers? It’s mind boggling actually.
