This is one of my absolute favorite classes to teach. I hear from kids throughout the year – “Can we go to the spooky haunted house today?” I laugh because I do this class for Halloween and not again throughout the year. I could do it but I think saving it for this month makes it more special. I teach this class to mostly 3-5 yr olds so this is geared towards that age group. It can definitely be done with K-3 as well! Those kids LOVE the scariness and get really into it. I make it way less spooky for 3 yr olds, but take it up a notch as they get older. Yoga with Tweens
I will be the first to admit that this age group used to scare me a bit. Not because I didn’t know how to teach them, but because I know how important it is to be teaching this age group. It’s an age group I’ve started diving into full force as opportunities to teach these kids keep coming up. It’s like I’m supposed to be teaching this population because there are so many eager tweens asking for it! The age range I teach is a little wider then some tween classes you may find- my classes range from 7-12yrs with most kids falling… Read More »
Fall Yoga for Kids

The air is cooler at night and in the morning which means we have to add another layer of clothes. The days are full of bright blue skies, a warm sun and loads of leaves and acorns on the ground. At my apt, we have spent the last week or so watching the squirrels as they scurry around collecting acorns, dropping them all over the cars and the street, and snatching the heads off of our sunflowers. They have been so busy preparing for winter. It’s so much fun to do yoga with kids this time of year. Every preschool & early elementary teacher teaches the signs of fall to their kiddos, so as a yoga teacher, it just reinforces what they are already learning.… Read More »
