The fall yoga for kids lesson is one of our favorites! As the weather goes from hot to just gorgeous, we know fall is coming. The air is cooler at night and in the morning which means we have to add another layer of clothes. The days are full of bright blue skies, a warm sun and loads of leaves and acorns on the ground. At my apt, we have spent the last week or so watching the squirrels as they scurry around collecting acorns, dropping them all over the cars and the street, and snatching the heads off of our sunflowers. They have been so busy preparing for winter. It’s so much fun to do yoga with kids this time of year. Every preschool & early elementary teacher teaches the signs of fall to their kiddos, so as a yoga teacher, it just reinforces what they are already learning.… Read More »
The Summer of Joy and Loss
Last New Years I committed to writing a blog post every week for this entire year. I missed my first week in July, then another and another. I vowed to start up again but something else was happening this summer that kept me from doing it. Something else was growing that needed my time and energy and I just didn’t have enough to give to my blog. We have had many challenges with having children- our first son Silas Orion died 10 hours after he was born 7 years ago. We went years without getting pregnant again. After failed IUI & IVF attempts, our 3rd IVF ended in success with our now beautiful 3 1/2 yr old Zephyr. While we really wanted a sibling for Zephyr, it just wasn’t happening.
