Family Yoga
These classes are fun for the whole family! FOJY family yoga classes combine fitness, fun, connection and relaxation all rolled up into one. All ages are welcome! These themed classes are full of creative yoga poses, partner poses and of course relaxation.

Mom & Baby Yoga (6 weeks – pre-crawling)
Mom and baby yoga classes are designed specifically for new moms and their pre-crawling infants and offer an amazing opportunity for playful interaction. The Mommy and baby yoga class will offer poses that enhance bonding, offer babies the opportunity to explore movement through infant massage and to build trust through physical contact. Moms can rebuild strength, flexibility and tone the abdomen. Baby yoga class will help you move in a yogic rhythm with your child, being fully present in each moment and letting go of the expectation of how things are supposed to be in this precious time. This class is for 6 weeks – pre-crawlers. Get permission to start exercise from your doctor.
Lani is not teaching Mom & Baby right now but you can find these classes taught by her friend Saskia at Breathing Room Yoga Center on Sundays at 11:00am

Yoga for School Age (5 – 9 yrs)
These classes explore yoga poses, breathing exercises, visual imagery and relaxation techniques to help convey lessons in self-expression, body image, social skills, positive thinking and environmental awareness. We use props, games, partner poses, storytelling and music to help engage the enthusiasm of these school age kids.

Therapeutic Yoga
We use an integrated approach that addresses the physical, social-emotional and learning strengths and challenges of the whole child. The FOJY yoga classes support a child’s natural development and positive sense of self in a gentle, safe and fun environment. Benefits include: increased attention, focus and concentration, building self-esteem and confidence, developing strong muscles, strengthening hypotonic body parts, loosening tight limbs, fostering language and interpersonal skills.
My daughter has been taking classes with Lani for over 5 yrs. I thought yoga for kids? How is that going to work? Well I was sure surprised when I saw Lani work her magic. The kids loved it. They love how the poses are connected to the world around them, pretending to be trees, eagles, turtles, you name it and there is a pose for it, and it might have been created by a Full of Joy student! My favorite quality of Lani is that you can’t get it wrong. Kids so often are trying to meet expectations, here they are free to express how they feel in that moment, and have tools to work with those feelings right there in the class. That’s the beauty of yoga. Lani sparked a journey in my child, one of connection for my daughter with all of the love that surrounds her. Olivia lost her father to cancer, and I will be forever grateful that she had yoga to help her manage her feelings of grief. It helps kids better understand those feelings that they may have never experienced. Since then I have trained with Lani so I can share my journey and bring that spirit to other children and families. I would highly recommend Full of Joy Yoga classes and teacher trainings to anyone with young children to spark their journey into self love and self discovery.
