Let’s Hibernate!

So now we’ve moved into the dark, cold heart of winter. It’s here, we can’t do anything about it except just go with it. What do you like to do to keep warm in the winter? Do you bundle up in a hat, mittens, puffy jacket and boots? Hide under the covers? Drink hot chocolate at night with your family? There are so many ways that we as humans keep ourselves warm and happy during the cold winter months. Animals also need to acclimate and it’s fun to teach a yoga lesson based on the habits of animals in the winter. Some hibernate, some grow thicker fur, others fly to warmer climates. Let Your Light Shine Bright

I am not one to teach the holidays per se, since so many people celebrate so many different holidays here in this diverse little city of New Haven. I don’t want to assume everyone celebrates Christmas because they don’t. I LOVE to teach a kids yoga lesson with the theme of LIGHT. All the December holidays use lights to brighten up the dark December nights. It’s a celebration of the light inside us as well as all the things that brighten our lives during this dark time.
